About the Artwork

Marti Fast lives her creative dream. She has taught art at Allan Hancock College for 20 years, including classes in Life Drawing, Watercolor, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, Design, and Silkscreen, and has served as Art Gallery director since 1998.

She also designs and installs exhibits and judge art shows throughout the central coast of California. As a co-chair of the the Santa Maria Arts Council Grants in the Arts program for the last 12 years, she is serving again as chair for the Central Coast Watercolor SocietyÕs 2007 Aquarius competition, a tri-state invitational. Fast was honored to be selected as featured artist in AHCÕs Mindprints Journal in 2005, and recently learned that two drawings have been selected for an upcoming book, “Strokes of Genius: The Best of Drawing”, to be released by North Light Books in August of 2007.
